Nuriootpa is the Barossa's biggest town, and plenty of our regulars work or live there. Here is how to fit a lunch run to Tanunda into a working day, what to order, and what to know before you come.
Getting here from Nuriootpa
It is about a five-minute drive from Nuriootpa to our shop on Para Road in Tanunda. We are about ten minutes from Angaston and fifteen from Lyndoch too, so we are central to most of the Valley. You might remember us from the Barossa Motor Lodge on Murray Street; these days we are at Shop 3, 1A Para Road.
Ring ahead and it will be waiting
Everything is made fresh to order, so the quickest way to grab lunch on a short break is to ring us before you leave:
- Call 0426 288 098 between 10am and 4pm on a weekday.
- Tell us your order and a name, and roughly when you will arrive.
- Drive down, and it will be ready at the counter when you get here.
There are no apps and no online ordering. Our takeaway lunch guide has more on how ordering ahead works.

What to order
These are the dishes our Nuriootpa regulars come back for, with prices from our current menu (subject to change without notice):
- Bánh mì rolls from $10 (vegetarian) to $14 (combination). New to them? Read what is bánh mì.
- Meal deals: a roast pork or crispy chicken roll with a spring roll and a can for $17, or a combination roll with a spring roll and a can for $20.
- Salad bowls of rice noodles, pickled veg and fresh herbs, $15 to $22.
- Sticky rice, $10 to $12, and cold rolls at $8 a serve of two.
- Buffet plates of fried rice, fried noodles or steamed rice with your choices: Hungry $18 or Starving $25. Our buffet plate guide explains how they work.
- Phở or chicken laksa when they are on the specials board. They rotate, so ask what is on today.
Lunch for a work crew
Feeding a team from a Nuriootpa workshop, office or site? Ring us earlier in the day with the order, especially for a bigger group, so it is ready when you pull up. Rolls, buffet plates and salad bowls all travel well. For functions and events, we do catering too, and our catering van does events: see our Barossa catering guide or send us the details.
Eat in or take away
You are welcome to stay. There is seating inside, like the window bench in the photo at the top, and outdoor seating too. Or grab it and go, and be back at work in Nuriootpa in no time.
Dietary needs
There are vegetarian rolls, salad bowls, sticky rice and cold rolls on the menu. Bánh mì rolls are wheat bread, so they are not gluten free. If you need gluten free or have a food allergy, ring us on 0426 288 098 before you order and we will tell you honestly what suits.
