Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 October 2026
Asian Tucker (“we”, “us”, “our”) runs a small South East Asian takeaway at Shop 3, 1A Para Road, Tanunda SA 5352. We respect your privacy and only ask for the details we actually need to serve you and answer your enquiries. This page explains what we collect and how we look after it. We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
We only collect personal information you choose to give us. That usually means:
- Your name and a way to reach you — a phone number or email address — when you send an enquiry through our website form.
- The details of your message — for example, a catering date, guest numbers, or a question about the menu.
- Any information you share when you phone, email or speak with us in store.
We do not ask for sensitive information, and we do not collect payment card details through this website.
How we use it
We use your information only to:
- Reply to your enquiry and answer your questions.
- Arrange and confirm catering, functions and events.
- Keep a simple record of our correspondence with you.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we will not share it for marketing by anyone else. We may share it only where it is needed to run the business or is required by law.
When you send our website enquiry form, it is processed by our website host, Netlify, and emailed to us using Resend (resend.com), an email-delivery service. Your email address is set as the reply address so we can answer you directly, and you’ll receive an automatic email confirming we’ve received your request. A copy of each enquiry also goes to JB Digital Barossa, who built and look after this website, so they can make sure enquiries are arriving and the form is working. Every submission is automatically screened for spam (for example hidden fields, timing checks and a blocklist). Anything that looks like spam is held for JB Digital Barossa to review rather than passed on to us. A delivery record of each enquiry (your name, contact details and message) is also kept in JB Digital Barossa’s secure client portal, hosted by Supabase in Sydney, Australia, so any enquiry that fails to deliver can be resent. They don’t use your details for anything else. These providers are expected to keep your information secure.
Some of these services (Netlify, Resend, Google and Meta) store or process data on servers outside Australia, including in the United States.
Analytics, cookies and third-party embeds
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people use our website — for example which parts of the page are viewed, roughly where visitors are (city or region level), what device and browser they use, and whether the call, email or enquiry buttons are used. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (such as _ga and _ga_*) in your browser when a page loads — there’s no cookie banner, so if you’d rather not have them, you can block or delete them in your browser settings. Google Signals and advertising features are switched off, analytics data is kept for 14 months, and nothing you type into a form is sent to Google. We use these statistics only to improve the site; we don’t run advertising trackers and we don’t use analytics to identify you personally. You can opt out of Google Analytics on every website with Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Some pages include content from other services — a Google Map showing our location and our Facebook page feed — and those services may set their own cookies or collect usage data under their own privacy policies. If you would rather avoid them, you can block third-party cookies in your browser.
Enquiry forms and follow-up
When you type your email address or phone number into an enquiry or quote form on this website, we save what you have entered so far (your name, contact details and the details of your enquiry), even if you do not press send. We do this only so that Asian Tucker can get in touch once to help if your enquiry was interrupted. We never save passwords or payment details. If you clear the form, or tap “Clear” under it, what you typed is deleted. If you do send the form, the unsent copy is deleted straight away. Otherwise, saved details are deleted automatically after 90 days. They are stored securely in Australia (Supabase, Sydney) by our website provider, JB Digital Barossa, and are not sold, shared or used for marketing lists. Any follow-up is a personal message from us — never automatic. To see or delete anything we hold about you, or to ask us not to contact you, email asiantucker@outlook.com and we will action it promptly.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and catering correspondence only for as long as we reasonably need it to help you and to keep sensible business records, and then remove it.
Your choices
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to remove it. Just get in touch using the details below and we’ll sort it out.
If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us. No website or email system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so please avoid sending us sensitive details you would not want shared.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
