Accessibility

Asian Tucker wants everyone to be able to find our menu, our hours and how to reach us. We’ve built this website with accessibility in mind and we keep working to improve it.

What we’ve done

Across the site we’ve aimed to:

• Use clear, structured headings and plain language.
• Add descriptive text (alt text) to photos so screen readers can describe them.
• Keep everything usable with a keyboard, including a “skip to content” link.
• Choose colours and text sizes with readable contrast.
• Respect the “reduce motion” setting for people who prefer less animation.
• Lay the site out so it works on phones, tablets and computers.

The standard we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as a practical target. As a small business we can’t promise every part of the site meets every point, but it’s the goal we work towards.

Known limitations

A couple of parts of the site come from other services and aren’t fully within our control:

• The embedded Google Map is provided by Google and may not meet the same accessibility standard as the rest of the site.
• If that makes something hard to reach, the same information — our address and hours — is also written out in plain text on the site.
